A) he talks about his sales more than anyone else, so you better deliver
B) for the type of music he makes, (easily digestable, spoon fed, surface, pop-rap) he better go platinum fast. It'd make no sense to make that type of accessible music if his goal to sell records fast wasn't met.

This makes sense. Its clear as day that ed sheeran is gonna hold the top spot. Shape of you is the worst mainstream song I've heard this year without a doubt. I prefer old ed sheeran. Terrible song.
