Can't believe you have people on here who don't believe mbdtf is a classic. Lmao. Mbdtf is one of the greatest album of all time objectively speaking. It could be said that it laid the groundwork for gkmc, co, blonde and tpab. Ye's best album and it ain't even close.

true, but it just means that kendrick has never had a misstep (well, UU ain't considered classic, but these were b-sides, they made it clear it was a project on the side)

Mbdtf set the new standard to rap, then tpab dropped and took the even higher that i honestly can't see any rapper topping tpab in the next few years apart from Kendrick. Its scary to think that we still haven't got a successor to Kendrick. Earl sweatshirt has the talent but he needs to be more outlandish with his production and possibly come into the mainstream. Kendrick succeeded both nas and 3 stacks.

What exactly did tpab change. No one is even trying to make an album like that cuz it didnt connect with the people. Mbdtf however has had many artist try to recreate that sound

Blackstar is comfortably the best album since tpab and tpab directly influenced that. Scary. We have to thank tpab for also influencing lemonade, a seat at the table and others.
