Lyrically superior? You ain't grow up in the 90s like I did, so I'll excuse your stupid comment.
Kendrick is an average lyricist. Not bad, but nothing special.

Exactly, Rakim or Big Pun is an example of lyrically superior, Kendrick is just better than some of his terrible current peers today, even then Jay Electronica is better than him.

Kendrick sounds a bit mechanic to me, raps over some bland beats sometimes too, lyrics aren't really potent, doesn't have much bite, he doesn't interest of excite me, loses me, found his albums difficult to get through but still tried. I'm not surprised he has an Eminem obsession actually. You can hear the Eminem, Lil Wayne etc influence in terms of style/sound. He's a safe rapper, If I want to hear a more safe rapper would go for Will Smith, even then he had Loretta and joints like that that were quite edgy. Kendrick sounds a bit gimmicky to me, don't think the hype machine did him any favors too, over-hyped a project then created huge expectations to surpass the originally over-hyped work. He shouldn't let the hype go to his head and realize he has a lot of improvement to do then maybe his upcoming album could be better. Hopefully he has some fresh topics too, but you get the feeling it might be in safe mode, you get the impression he's concerned about his spot and wants to be in good graces with the corplantation as Chuck would say.

boring is such a cop out

I hate that shyt.. I feel like when dudes wanna hate but know they'll sound like a fukkin idiot by calling a lyrically superior artist anything but that, they run with "boring"

:camby:
Maybe maybe just maybe I can think a speech or a song has more depth but it is presented by someone without charisma. This is like saying I have to say you give great speeches because of your impressive points even though the presentation is lifeless. Cats need to accept that people have different opinions than them and it is not an indictment on their intelligence.

Kendrick's only luster is the label's push. He's done nothing exciting in hiphop AT ALL.
ALL HIS ATTENTION is purchased.
He just won a grammy for a song that had a gigantic push, yet it still fizzled and didnt really hit.
Meanwhile drake put out a song with lil push was more popular than "I" and he doenst win.

and hes actually very charismatic

the ruler stay being the worst member on this forum.

kdot is far from being safe LMFAO, and I agree with what goerge clinton said (someone who hasn't praised anybody on that level).. kendrick is so versatile, he has the musical knowledge to become the next Prince. (george's words)

Don't get me wrong he's a decent rapper, but the nikka's boring as shyt.
I fell asleep midway through Good Kid. That's all I have to say.

When y'all nikkaz gonna figure out that there isn't a rapper that satisfy everybody.

Lamar's music >>>>> big Pun's

And u could say that its lack of competition but u could say that about Nas and Jay-z in 2001. Its was literally quiet until blueprint dropped

The Ruler 09 should be banned for being so stupid & ignorant

but people ignorant of the genre not knowing something is diverse, interesting, and musically amazing from a pure objective standpoint doesn't make it not a interesting
