the problem is, the people criticizing very rarely actually have a point. he has had a few missteps.

personally i cant stand the cac singers on section.80. i hate the shyt he does with pop stars and movies. parts of DAMN are unlistenable to me, and the tracks 'mortal man' and 'reincarnated' really bug me. i hate when kendrick cosplays as pacs son.

i loved the direction he was going in with untitled unmastered and then he went and dropped DAMN which i like less than Mr Morale tbh

thats about all the criticism i really have. he's a great artist but hes not a god or anything

Kendrick only gets treated like this because he destroyed Drake, a rapper that is HATED on here.



Drake stans on The Coli in the mid 2010s were annoying in their own right, them fakkits used to stay calling people incels and losers for not liking Drake's music



Drake is hated on here because he has ghostwriters and the general public had NO IDEA Drake didn't write his own lyrics until Meek Mill exposed it on twitter. Diddy and Dr Dre kinda get a pass for it as even though they don't write their own lyrics, they are great as producers. Drake doesn't write his own lyrics, he doesn't make beats, etc. He dropped 5AM in Toronto in like 2013 and at the time I thought it was impressive AF, but knowing what we know now, did dude even write the lyrics for that song?



Nas on here kinda has the same energy about him that Kendrick does. Some Nas stans still hold a grudge and hate Jay Z till this very day cause Jay Z dissed Nas in the year 2001 Nas, the actual man that got dissed on Takeover squashed the beef with Jay damn near 20 years ago but some of his stans still hold an grudge

I had the OG Kendrick Lamar mixtape, OD, and Section 80 on my iTunes when I was 12. I watched the man's career become what it is.


But I gotta say its ridiculous how people view and talk about him. In terms of how he's viewed and acclaimed, he's basically become Taylor Swift for black people. By that I mean, there are very valid criticisms you can make of him as an artist and as a person, just as you can for any man and any artist, but if you say any of it you hating, of you're a opp, or you're a Drake dikkrider, or you're dumb, or... you get it.

shyt is crazy brehs. Even Beyonce doesn't get this kind of protection from folks. You genuinely cannot say anything negative about this man.

Me personally, every artist I like has valid criticisms that can be said about them.

If people wanna bring up Joni Mitchell's blackface cover and say she's a mediocre guitar player fair


People call Future an immature 40 year old man child fair


They call J Cole a fake deep nikka fair


Bob Dylan can't sing for shyt fair


Kurt Cobain was a weirdo and a drug addict fair


Chris Brown beat a woman fair


Kid Cudi is kinda corny fair
