The beef was only massive because it was two established superstar rappers going head to head the likes of which hadn’t been seen since Nas/Jay-Z went at it twenty years ago. Facts are facts and numbers are numbers and Kendrick was already that dude before he spanked Drake. Kendrick was literally coming off of the highest grossing tour ever for a rapper from the Mr. Morale tour. So this inclination that Kendrick somehow was elevated by the battle when he already had everything the battle ended up gaining him (Number 1 chart placements, sold out tours, Grammys, etc.) is laughable.

Not to mention the last TWO times they’d both put out solo albums within the same year Kendrick outsold Drake (2017 & 2022)

I mean we can’t just ignore FACTS to make a point for Drake. It doesn’t work that way.

Not to mention NLU, which is one of the biggest songs EVER...will only end up being kendrick's 3rd biggest song

Mr moral (altho i liked it and i actully think i was the threadstarter of its original thread on here) wasnt a successful album for him commercially considering it was coming off damn and black panther
