Been seeing this go around. I don’t know if I can believe he was subbing Drake on this song. Too soon in their relationship for animosity and the ghostwriter reveals. Although I do think on “buried alive” he was slightly subbing Drake as he got to know him. Always felt that from day 1 of that interlude

Agree, but there are certain lines that I know Drake wrote like

“Young East African girl, you too busy fukkin' with your other man/ I was tryna put you on game, put you on a plane/ Take you and your momma to the motherland”

“Your natural hair and your soft skin and your big ass in that sundress, ooh”

“69 God” :laff:

So juvenile but so fucckin funny :russ:
I told people when, even throughout the whole battle. The effectiveness was the juvenile/childish quality of the jokes. On some school yard shyt, just clowning him. It’s why “Ether” was effective imo. Just pure childhood/schoolyard shyt that brought you back to cracking on people. It was serious, but they didn’t take you as a threat.

Edit: it’s one of the main reasons Meek, etc… all fell flat, besides the lack of creativity. You don’t ‘battle’ a lame person with tough talk, it makes no sense. Just get your jokes off. You don’t need all the tough talk, it’s ineffective.

Wouldn't be surprised if kenrick caught on to him early, especially if he was asked to write that verse for him.

How is this a club record? I tried to listen the first time but I thought the beat was trash. Then I read that it would be played in the clubs, I thought maybe there is beat switch. Still trash.

I don’t know what clubs you gremlins go to but this not getting at a club
