Thats not including Odd Future as a whole - Tyler is probably going to go strong for longer
and thats not even naming classic beat makers in

I put Hammer and Coolio on because they sold more with half the amount of albums and impacted culture on a larger scale. Sorry to make you "wait" corny ass nikka :mjlol:

you could slide him in 17 or whatever preference you have, but he's not as impactful or doesnt have as much material as anyone above that. Some nikkas on the list, you could split their careers in half and they still have more impact and hits than Kendrick

I can see Eazy or Del being laughed at, I personally like Del's music and he's got alot of projects. And Eazy is responsible for some of the biggest shyt in hiphop history, without Eazy... Kendrick doesnt get 4th generationed in. I'd even toss Xzibits albums in here but I dont think he has better shyt than Kendrick. Kendrick do be writing the fukk out of some hit songs. But his impact isnt as big as 75% of those people. Not hating just opinion and facts in my book. If you kill any of these people they have a set in stone legacy. If Kendrick died we lose out on random pop songs and him rapping about unironically being black. I dont even think he did as good of a job as The Game has with Westcoast music. Maybe in 2-3 more albums full of hits. But he's not defining anything, he's not the best lyricist ... he just kind of floats in between everything. He's like an underground act that happens to have a huge fanbase and sales but low output. That's not even bringing up GKMC being supplied with every play in the book, Drake, Dre, Jayz, Mc Eight, Mary J Blidge, Just Blaze, Pharrell, HitBoy etc ... nikkas album is stacked more than 90% of people on the list I put up. Nobody besides Snoop, Dre, and The Game (All under Dre with Kendrick) have that amount of superstardom on one album. You could put Silk The Shocker on the album and it would go platinum.

Its not on me to step his game up... its up to him, if he really loves music he has to define himself. Most of these cats put in work with only 10% of the pull and budget.
I didnt even put Texas rappers in which I consider a hybrid of wescoast and deep south. Not saying Kendrick is bad, he just needs a personality.

:mjlol: @ the bolded... you put MC Hammer as one of your GOAT west coast rappers? fukking Coolio?? You listed Nate Dogg who aint even a rapper :russ:

To each their own, but you're really scraping the bottom of the barrel with some of these choices. To the point where I feel like you googled 'west coast rappers' to fill some of the spots your list :lolbron:

I've been alive for 95% of them ... I did scrape the bottom around 17 not gonna lie
but Nate is certified and I dont see many people passing his reach and amount of songs that are classics. He defines the West.

Put Coolio and Hammer incase you went sales route since they have more.. and people remember them (more so Hammer)
not gonna front at all, I love the first 3 Hammer CD's ... Coolio had 2 great CDs too. Kendrick will pass Coolio and them in sales but I dont think he will be remembered as long as Mc Hammer still is
I'd even say he will pass Kurupt or most people would think he is already. I put Kurupt based on DPG and being on Dre and Snoop/Pac's shyt... the Horsemen album etc. He's been on enough classic shyt where he is set in stone for life.

As of today, if Kendrick died people arent gonna look at a swimming pool and be like "damn why am I babysitting only three or four shots?" or be like "this dude who keeps saying he's better than everyone also wrote..... be humble"
surprisingly he's only got 2 songs on Billboard top chart... and 1 that's highest is Taylor Swift. He should be working alot harder and banging out classics, he surely can do it, he just doesnt. He problem lands somewhere behind the megastars and way ahead of the middle pack at around 10

I dont even like Odd Future but Tyler isnt slowing down, has a cult following and produces alot of his own shyt. Spice 1s first handful of albums are just untouchable and not talked about enough. Even with Ras Kass falling off for a long time, he has the same amount of dope albums as Kendrick as of today, while only having the same backing and budget as Kendrick for 1 album - Rasassination.

Some of the rappers on your list aren't even really rappers or would think you are trolling for putting them there compared to kendrick in a rapping perspective

I disagree with alot of this and you really showing your age in this post. It's fine that you don't fukk with Kendrick but Kendrick is bigger then a good chunk of those artists and this is someone that has been listening to rap since the early 90's. If he were to die today he would be bumped up in the culture to top 5. His music would be more played then it is today.

you dont think too short doesnt have more hits than kendrick? :russ:

or the man that signed him and gives him an album budget and brings the features to him?
or the man who funded and started the group responsible to even have a man sign you in the first place and give you a budget?

you think kendrick really did more than Dr Dre has in music? :deadmanny:
