Im a fukking fan of tory lanez but he didnt GET ME INTO hip hop u dumb fukk

theres a difference between your style being influenced by someone and them getting you into a whole fukking genre

he's credited 3 different rappers from 3 different generations for getting him into hip hop, he wouldve already been into hip hop by the time he heard wayne if the first 2 actually did get him into it

1 rapper doesn't always get you into Hip-Hop

he's from Compton and was like 16 in 03
his teen years and early 20s was when wayne was killing it

in LA nikkas listen to Pac heavy and Eazy
so why is that hard to believe

he also said his fav album is like 400 Degreez i think
so he is obviously a big fan of that early Cash Money shyt

Kendrick is even shyttier than Wayne :snoop:

That's why I laugh when y'all talk that "duckworth deep" shyt. Dude is just a Wayne clone who went the Nicki Minaj/Eminem route to stack paper. He aint sayin nuthin
lacks the charisma and star power of Wayne

I'm shocked no one linked Kendrick being so bored he made his own I Need A Hot Girl video at CDG Airport in Paris.

This was around GKMC's release...

I wonder if one of the reasons Wayne was a big influence to Kendrick is because they both have "weak" rap voices.

Wayne showed Kendrick that you could use your voice in various ways to hide your weakness.

Kendrick have gone overboard similar to Eminem in resent years tho.

Uh....nah not really. He would've been 5 months old when "Boyz N The Hood" came out....4 years old when Pac's debut came out. He was only 9 when Pac died, 8 when Eazy died.

So clearly he didn't get into them when they were new. It's possible he got into rap around the time Wayne dropped his first solo and also checked for older shyt along side that. Keep in mind both Pac and Eazy had albums out within 3-4 years of Wayne's debut.
