He has to say this because the Control verse got hot, but the lyrical battles with the top tier never happened.

Ultimately, if Drake engaged him and he got 'em, Control verse coulda been his Stillmatic freestyle.

The problem was this was the most random shotcalling of names. Like 2pac & Biggie legit had some problems. Nas & Jay legit had some problems.

Kendrick dissing Drake and others was just the most random shyt ever. They toured together the year before, Drake was featured on his single that same year. Like what could they even put on wax that isn't just random "you ain't hot" lyrics for no reason?

It's good he's backing away from it though, I'm sure they'll make up and tour in a year or two for "hip-hop".

Always seemed more of a challenge to the new school of rappers than a straight diss. Seemed like he was complimenting them too cause he recognized them as competition.
