Mr Morale has some really GREAT rapping on it though. N95, Rich Spirit, Count Me Out. All great rapping performances. Even something like Father Time, which is heavily conceptual, has some great bar and flow work.

I'm not saying there isn't. Maybe what I'm asking for is rappity raps where he sounds like he's lost in the rhymes and in the moment. Most of the raps on Mr. Morale are approached in a calculated way which makes sense in a songwriter way like the way he uses repetition. Like the whole lack of quotables criticism which I think is reachy in general but has some truth to it is mainly due to his strength as a songwriter. The nature of diss songs is to have more quotables but still. Mr. Morale still felt somewhat dumbed down to me in a way.

Whenever it drops, Drake should drop a surprise album the same day to spice things up.

I don't think his ego would let him possibly get outsold after the way the diss tracks humbled him

More music his fans are going to pretend to like and call it a classic but they only listen to it once

We knew an album was coming because he dissed the biggest rapper to get some buzz going

Cap. Kendrick has replay value. GKMC has the longest chart run ever and even the album yall say flopped sold two million

And Drake ain’t the biggest rapper. Rappers write their own music. Drake is in the same lane as beyonce and Taylor swift.

I'm expecting this one to be a 180 from Mr.morale. Might have even went back to the studio after the success of "not like us" and added a couple more bangers. But I feel like this was his intention all along. Kendrick wants to remind everyone who's the king of this rap shyt. I wanna hear him blackin the fukk out over some grimy boombap/trap fusion type shyt. And keep going with that "fukk the industry" energy.

I hope it's this. Couldn't stomach another Mr Morale.

Hopefully Kendrick does not change the formula that got him success due to recent events. I'm not trying to hear a album that is just made for the radio.
