Kendrick Lamar was feeling himself too much on Control; I think he realized this after hearing SLR 2

No it wasn't. At all. All the people he named are his friends, he said so TWICE.

Tell us why you are mad tho breh

Stating that new nikkas are not in the same caliber as him and the greats is a f*ckin diss. Stating that you are trying to take your "friends" hard core fans away from them is a diss. Lets go back to preschool n*gga, what kind of friend says that to a friend? These n*ggas aint friends and you know that!!!!!!!!!

You are really dense. I'd bet you'd sink in the Hudson River if it wasn't so filled with salt from all the tears flowing in New York right now.

I think control is overrated but I find it funny that nikkas are trying to judge it, as a response to a DISS TRACK...it was just some fukking wordplay/bars exhibition.

Had Ortiz had picked a different beat he'd be the clear "winner" in all this, people who respond to this should avoid the actual beat at all costs, that shyt ain't that dope and you're not going to be able to top kendricks verse on it...not because it's unbeatable, but because he has already made that track his, royce could obliterate that shyt and it wouldn't sound natural because for better or worse k.dot owns that track.

How hard is t to comprehend a simple ass song. The n*gga didn't rap about nothing complicating.
Because you calling your calling it dissing rappers, where half The Coli know Kendrick wasn't dissing anyone.

How? when half the nikkas he called out didn't even respond yet. I want to hear Pusha, Kanye, J Cole at least give us freestyle shyt

why are am i hearing this all the time now? 5 years ago everyone killed the hot beat of the moment. a millie had 40 remixes. then lord finesse sued mac miller so now noone rocks over other peoples beats anymore.

wu made CREAM, one of hip hops best songs EVER. leagues better than control with verses wit more soul than ANYTHING lamar dropped. when biggie n the lox freestyled over it, i didnt in any way say some type of shyt like this here. no disrespect

Two things:

1. You can't compare cream to this shyt...that beat was minimal enough for anybody to sound decent on and epic enough for it not to get played out hearing it.

2. It's a hell of a lot more rappers now, and material comes out a hell of a lot faster...that a-millie fiasco is exactly why you got people calling for a beat switch at this point because that just got ridiculous. Royce to me is that nikka when it comes to jackin/beats flows..but once the few actual spitters came and dropped on that beat it just got out of hand and made me not want to hear ANY of them again, original song included. shyt was annoying and had off-brand d-league nikkas thinking they could join the fray.

Da fukk we gonna do...have everybody spit over that control beat and have a mash-up, remix? Throw DJ Kalid on there?

fukk that...make an original track, go the fukk in...where the fukk is BANKS? :why:

I fukk with Kendrick's music more than I do the music of Lupe's goofy weirdo ass, but objectively, Lupe is the superior lyricist and SLR2 >>> that overrated Control verse.

Now whether Lupe can make a better album than GKMC is a whole 'nother question.
Lupe wasnt always a "goofy weirdo ass" dont forget the hype this dude had after "Kiss the Sky" and his mixtapes. Son in a way is like the forerunner for Kendrick. also, it has to be said that Kendrick has a little "goofy weirdo ass" in him too. Peep that shyt he did on Drake album :mjpls:

Why the fukk would Kendrick thank Lupe for rapping in a response to a Kendrick verse that basically told nikkas it was time to compete? :dahell:

Lupe should be thanking Kendrick for lighting a fire under his ass...that wierd ass nikka hadn't been doing shyt in recent memory.

That's what a lot of people are missing; This a young cat just sitting around roasting his contemporaries. It's no different than if any of us were with our friends and started talking shyt. "Man I'll take your girl, your girl, I already got your girl and your girl too." Dude was just shyt talking in the twitter age, because it was trending on news feeds, huffingtonpost has a column about it. Old Black women on facebook are talking about it that didn't know who Kendrick Lamar was. You got dudes on facebook talking about, "I ain't even heard his verse," but they are giving an opinion on it.

Like someone said before, this was "How to Rob" 2013.
