It really is a minor tragedy that Kendrick didn't at least win the best rap album Grammy (and to lose to Macklemore, no less...shameful shameful sh!t let there be no mistake)...but i'd be lying if this wasn't the most ideal turn of events all things considered, just if nothing else for pure fukkery sakes...
the rap smark outrage that will birthed from this > the boring already cliched kendrick hype-job circle-jerk that would've commenced had he actually won a couple of key awards tonight
...after a year's-plus worth of overblown dikkridery over pretty much every aspect of kendrick's existence best exemplified by him being damn near universally critically fellated for that Control verse, this is prolly one of the only storylines that keeps the whole ongoing faux-underdog rap smark narrative going for him...the cliche backlash for k-dot's success gets pushed at least an entire album cycle or two...just think about the buzz that builds going into his next album....Kendrick won tonight...it's what's best for business
