No they won’t

weren’t you talking about all the hits this album would have
Yeah, they will.

It looks like there are multiple hits if you read the reviews of the US tour and the ongoing reviews of the European tour. An album that has no hits doesn't sell out stadiums for concerts.

So based on this, on September 29th, Kendrick was already at 975,000. My calculations were off. So add the 15,000 from last week and he’s actually at 989,000 :wow:
If he did 11,000 this past week (numbers should be out soon) he’s already platinum on some Slim Thug shyt :wow:
Here we go. :wow:
Kendrick did 14,000 this week :wow:

That 1,003,000. :wow:
That’s Platinum :wow:

@Piff Perkins @Ziggiy we did it :wow:

Albums only been out, what? A month? :troll:

Why do you think no one listens to any of Drake’s old music? (No catalog albums in the top 50)

Man idk if we can say that. Certified lover boy is somehow selling more than Mr Moralle and it’s been like that for a good while and it’s been out for more than a year. Take care is like 60 on the charts.

Drake new stuff sells and somehow CLB has. GKMC has been selling at least 15k every week. Both are winning. That’s some crazy feats from Drake and Kendrick

Salute to Kdot. I still don't think this is the album people expected/wanted and yet it's still on the charts, still went plat, still led to a global arena tour that will end up topping $70-80mil when all is said and done.

To be fair on Drake I will say he has 7 albums on the Billboard 200 @mobbinfms

From last week

16 CLB
32 Honestly, Nevermind
60 Take Care
64 Scorpion
109 Views
131 More Life
153 NWTS

Only CLB is outselling GKMC and DAMN, rest kind of shoot up and down the chart randomly. Also J Cole:

79 FHD

Honestly I gotta salute them. That's why they're the big three.

:Whew: made his way to Plat and numbers are consistent each week. Hell of a feat for what was a pretty dense and unconventional album from Kenny.

My homied saw him at Glastonbury and said the live show was crazy. I've got tickets to him in December, can't wait.

CLB is a strange case since technically it’s his last album, but it came out last year and his latest album was arguably the biggest flop in the history of recorded music.

I don’t consider it a catalog album yet, but I understand your point.

How is honestly never mind a big flop?

This Kendrick album is more of a flop than that

Explain. It certainly under performed but when I think about what I assumed the album would do, it was basically 300-350k first week followed by a weekly decline similar to Future's album. He barely missed 300k first week and isn't far below Future's weekly trajectory despite not having one hit. Without a hit.

I'd also say this is not the album people expected sonically. I'm not even I can compare it to following up GKMC with TPAB, because the are (multiple) radio or mainstream songs on this album whereas TPAB didn't have any radio attempts. They're just not that good compared to similar stuff on DAMN or the big mainstream albums of this year (Future especially). Coming back after 5 years without a "ok that's THAT song" type track was disappointing. Interestingly I just saw an interview where one of the producers (Sounwave) said when they were making N95 with Bo1da they thought that was the "oh shyt Kendrick's back" track. The song went plat and is obviously popular with much of his fanbase, it's a banger live etc but...I can't really fukk with it that much. The obvious comparison is DNA which is ten times better right? It just feels kind of corny and hard to sneak into a playlist or the car if you got people with you.

I like the album overall, not shytting on it. Doubt it'll be in my personal top 10 this year, whereas Future will be.
