I think TDE has a new tactic...
after each formal album of Kendrick they try to put out another project, almost a year later.
It has a nice aftershock value... What do you think about it?
or maybe i'm tripping?

all I know is... whatever he doing is working
he really really really got this shyt on lock... Kendrick is everywhere rn...
Kendrick, Drake, Cole all mastered building a fanbase and connect with people. The rest of the game is hit chasing and depending on that for relevancy which leaves them having to over saturate themselves for relevancy because if they aren't hitting their fans disappear or shift to the next guy.

These dudes just don't have enough competition from people in their generation and after. They have the game on cruise control. Makes it almost too easy

Yeah, this shyt is really working rn, for the next couple of weeks he'll have 3 song in the top 15 on billboard (LOVE., Pray For Me, & All The Stars) , & maybe even be able to get all of them in the top 10. & All 3 are still gaining momentum, it's crazy.

Black panther was an overcrowded album & they jacked ideas from lupe

This nicca. What the fukk this this have to do with this thread?

Kendrick got a dope formula working. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Keeping the public from getting tired of him. Oversaturation can kill a career

They've found a nice balance. TDE has never been about over saturation, like Drake (who can get away with it). And they've avoided under saturation, like Cole who completely disappears for entire years. I like it. It allows Kendrick to take a long time crafting his albums without losing the ear of the public.

I do wish they'd find a better balance for non Kendrick artists. Q, Soul, Rashad etc been pretty damn quiet between albums. Few features or loosies. That's not a good thing for artists who aren't super huge.

There are other artist that have this guy I can agree. Whenever they stop there core will always cop and they have large core fan bases. On a lower level Cudi and Gambino are similar.

It isnt a new tactic, it's the same tactic everyone uses, they're just more concerned about quality control, hence 1 project where the average artist would try to put out 2-3 mediocre mixtapes or completely vanish

We gotta stop actin like tde is creating every single thing from scratch, they're a good label, no need to add on any extra sauce to boost them up

It all boils down to image. Ducktales image is that of quality (despite his music being forgettable as fukk) so he's gonna play that quality game while of course releasing music semi-regularly to make sure he's not forgotten. He's not the upper echelon where he can take multiple years and people will still check for his music. :yeshrug:
