The GQ article said Def Jam was concerned about the public perception of Kendrick/Pusha on a track, it didn't say anything about him dissing. And nobody who has heard the verse said it's a diss.

The thing that sucks about this entire thing is Kendrick out here rapping for real again and instead of appreciating that, we're gonna have white (and Indian) boys parsing lines for disses that aren't there. Enjoy the music and chill out.
