A round wouldn’t cause that ring to literally shear off the thre- well.. you know what, I actually don’t know wtf I’m talking about if we’re being honest

he mentioned it being a hot round so it probably had too much gunpowder in it. The gun barrel and cap are rated for a certain amount of pressure I forgot what he said in the video let’s say about 60,000 psi. When the round exploded all that energy needed somewhere to go. The weakest link was the barrel threads that’s why they sheared off sending the cap flying into his eye.
