Yes It isn't common as in binary behavior or like you said the species would die off. I was only pointing out that it occurs in nature more often then people would think.

People love putting that "animals do it so it's natural" BS out there. Humping things doesn't make an animal gay. Animals will hump all sorta of shyt. I seen video of a monkey using a frog to masturbate. I have seen my dog go in on a fukking pillow. There are video of seals and Walrus fukking peguins. Animals will fukk anything b/c they get horny but unless they have NO DESIRE to procreate with the opposite sex they are not gay.

claims of rare defects are speculations in and of itself. My use of the word "nature" was in lieu of "the wild". I don't project logic onto animals to determine what is beneficial to them or not. I never argued against self-preservation but on a side note, I do know that suicide has been observed in some animals.
