Let people have opinions as long as they are not offensive or trolling it shouldn't matter what type of Black person had an opinion. The only reason to frame shyt like that is if it's necessary

Personally I think it was a great movie before they threw in the mystical horror stuff. I'm on the opposite side of the spectrum. The non-vampire part of the film was the best part.

Why can't we just have a period love story about black love? or the black homecoming of two Brothers? Why do we need twighlight in it? It got kinda cheesy after the music scene. (Which i thought was pretty whitty and symbolic scene until they shoehorned the vietnamese parlor thing in a black film)

Now don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Coogler made a film that wasn't the stereotypical black trauma film. I kind of agree with you that I wish it was one or the other. Either a horror/thriller film or a theatrical drama/period piece. The disconnect comes from where he tried to tie the two different movie styles together.

He tried to do a buffet. Some of this, some of that and it just felt like he was just playing aroud with each genre without really going in depth in either one. That's one negative I have with Peele and Coogler. It's like they always trying to blend multiple genres in the same movie. They make one tremendously good film doing it then it becomes a gimmick where they constantly trying to do to much every film. It's like M Night Shamalyan where the plot twist is no longer a twist, it's a gimmick now.

There has been an alarming increase in the c00n coefficient among Kenyans. Its as if they ( especially the women ) saw West African ( Nigeria ) and Caribeeans ( Jamaica / Dominic00n ) winning c00n championships & forging dynasties. Thus, they decided to make a run for the olympics and challenge for silver and bronze in media illeteracy, religious indoctrination, white skin worship and mental midgetry. Lets say we ignore the thematic elements, Sinners is a beautifully shot movie. WTF are we doing!!

Who cares.

Movie was great and I hope people use this thread to praise the work of the cast and crew. I'm not going to not enjoy something because strangers I don't know have an opinion on it.

Yall get upset at links from a toxic app owned by a nazi that rewards people for being their absolute worst selves in a desperate quest for attention and clout. It's the same energy as a cat trying to fight it's own reflection and pissing itself out of rage and terror because it's too stupid to understand what's happening.

Its 2025. Leave the rage behind and celebrate our brothers and sisters who make good art. Reward the people who deserve it with your attention and funds, not low vibration individuals who stay posted up all day finding things to be mad at.

I wasnt head over heels with every NollyWood film ive seen. Too many ripoffs of American movies, and horrible lighting and special effects in certain instances. But I do still enjoy some in spite of. Nothing to be upset about and fight over:respect:
