The past 10 days 3 seemingly unrelated incidents happened.
-The EU imposed a tax on our flower and horticulture exports;this a billion dollar industry
-Uhuru Kenyatta, our prez was summoned to the ICC by their head mammy-look!

Fatou Bensouda, tormentor of Uhuru Kenyatta, the Kenyan people's choice for prez;head mammy of the ICC. Do you see a resemblance?

Is it just me or could they be sisters? Anyway it was just to embarrass him...nvmd

-economic rebasing shows our economy is 25% larger than previously thought at 53 bn$ not 40 bn$

Meaning we've done this on our own without the usual Cac prescriptions of the WB/IMF-cut social spending, sack teachers and nurses, privatise natural resources and marry a Spanish speaking Jewish woman etc etc. Understandably they're upset:you see brehs the worldwide economic template was set up to impoverish and marginalise blacks. In other words its working the way it should-Cacs don't like it when you change ish! We're not poor cause of cannibal corrupt leaders and/or inefficiency but because of the way the international trading system was set up.
You only produce primary products while they chose the price. We've found a sliver of light in the tunnel and these 2 recent developments concerning Kenyatta and the EU new tax regime are a result!
If you didn't know, welcome to the way the world works! But know this: "The journey to complete independence, dignity and finally full prosperity, however isn't for the faint of heart."

Saw a speaker this week, they were basically saying how Africa has the raw material, but the lack of refining is the where the real money is at.
You can take the raw material out of the ground, but refinement of the resource, so it can go into industries or some other use is where multibillions are at.....they eating crumbcake only extracting.

no shyt, people get mad at me for saying it but like ive said, the notion that africa countries will get wealthy from natural resources is completely delusional, the person that buys raw material and processes is the person that gets the wealth, raw materials are just commodities that are sold in an open market for chump change

the real measure of wealth is the overall level of education and knowledge of the country, that is the only thing that really matters because that is where you get the knowledge to process raw materials

Unfortunately that is the card we were given by the worldwide economic template. Refusing that rigged game will involve rewriting and resetting the whole playbook. That is not in the Cacs interests, but its happening slowly but surely. That's what fair trade agreements are all about.
