I just hate that yall punish Draymond based on where he was drafted. He can't help that he was drafted to a good situation. But remember Dray was a second round pick. He wasn't even supposed to be a starter.

He cant help? How bout be a dominant player in college like Kmart was

What good is being a dominant player in college if you don’t accomplish shiit in the league… :martin:

If you are a dominant player in college most times that means you win a rookie of the year in the NBA and have an impact…

K Mart was NEVER that guy want any TV played on. Denver, New Jersey, etc.

Career Playoff Averages (Kenyon Martin)
12.9 points per game
6.8 rebounds per game
1.8 assists per game

Draymond Green
Points per game: 11.4
Rebounds: 8.6
Assists: 6.0
But yet, we're gonna hear the same tired excuses
Draymond not a scorer. He hitting a single triple. Shows them Draymond double digit scoring. Well that's only cause he playing with Steph and Klay

Yeah I said disagreed with him being out of the league

He’s legitimately a very good player but has also benefitted from great circumstances, both things can co-exist

Edit: Also if it’s not clear he was definitely a better player than Kenyon Martin and some of those names on that list are diabolical
how did circumstances help him become an all time defensive player? Did Steph help with that?

The circumstances is Kerr starting him over David Lee.

Dray was player of the year lol

The nba didnt know what position he could play is why he went so low

Dray changed the game

Curry changed offense
Dray changed defense
Draymond did not change defense.

Shawn Marion and Kevin Garnett were guarding multiple positions before Draymond even made it to the NBA.

KG would never be assigned a PG and Marion would never be assigned to a center

I saw Dray give hell to Joker in 2022

I saw him give hell to Tatum

Dude is a top 4 defender of all time

You said he changed the game. He didn't.
You said he changed defense. He didn't.

Players were guarding multiple positions before he got in the league. He was not the first to do it. Don't move the goalposts.

We also saw Alex Caruso give Jokic hell last year.

We saw Wiggins give Tatum hell in the Finals while Draymond was benched.

This is for people that still think Draymond is a product of Steph and Klay

  • Career games (approx): 897
  • Games with Klay (career): 639With Klay (career averages):
    • 8.9 PPG (≈8.86)
    • 7.0 RPG (≈6.98)
    • 5.2 APG (≈5.16)
  • Games without Klay (career): 258Without Klay (career averages) (StatMuse):
    • 8.3 PPG
    • 6.7 RPG
    • 6.7 APG

Takeaway (career):
  • Draymond’s scoring and rebounding are essentially the same whether Klay is playing or not (8.9 vs 8.3 PPG; ~7.0 vs 6.7 RPG).
  • His assists are higher when Klay is not playing (6.7 APG without Klay vs ~5.2 APG with Klay). That suggests Draymond has been asked to distribute more in lineups where Klay was absent.

The circumstances is Kerr starting him over David Lee.

Circumstances helped him build a HOF career.

There's certain players who would've been what they were regardless and there's certain players that benefitted greatly from being put in the right situation at the right time. Draymond to me is in that second group.

If Draymond plays the first 10 years of his career in Charlotte or even Indiana are we talking about him as a 1st ballot HOFer? Or if the Warriors never became a dynasty, are we talking about him as a 1st ballot HOFer?

That's what I mean.
