HE DOESNT GET ANY
OF THOSE ACCOLADES
PLAYING IN DETROIT.

EVERYTHING HES EVER
GOTTEN WAS DUE TO THE WARRIORS
TEAM SUCCESS

I find it hilarious that people don't realize the All NBA, All defensive team, NBA All star, MVP, etc are all team awards or at least weighed heavily on team success. The only award that has 0 weight on team success is the NBA All Rookie team

Circumstances helped him build a HOF career.

There's certain players who would've been what they were regardless and there's certain players that benefitted greatly from being put in the right situation at the right time. Draymond to me is in that second group.

If Draymond plays the first 10 years of his career in Charlotte or even Indiana are we talking about him as a 1st ballot HOFer? Or if the Warriors never became a dynasty, are we talking about him as a 1st ballot HOFer?

That's what I mean.
Probably not, but it’s not because of Draymond’s talent.

Just like of Golden State didn’t believe in Steph and traded him like they strongly considered, would he have become Steph? Or if he never got over his ankle issues? Or of Mark Jackson stayed coach and didn’t let him bin shoot as much and allowed him to be off the ball more?

What if Klay gets traded for Kevin Love?

Everyone needs special circumstances to be great and on that HOF level And dynastic teams.

Guys like Draymond, Ben Wallace and others always defy the odds and people's expectation on what greatness should look like. No Ben, no ring. No Draymond, no rings.

If you not a franchise player/All time great talent you just have to get in where you fit in. It just so happens defense is incredibly important. And being a vocal on court and locker room leader is also incredibly important. Having an all around game helps you fill the gaps that other guys on your squad lack.

We can't rewrite history. Warriors were never even supposed to accomplish all of this according to most fans/experts. And there are equally and less deserving players in the hall of fame.
