Just to clear things up, i am still quite militant. When I said I'm perceived as white washed, I'm referring to how I'm seen by many of my black peers in public - not on here. Y'all make excuses for the state of our community and attack me because I no longer believe the blame rests solely at the feet of white America. It is what it is. I'm black and I don't have to prove it.

You can't call yourself "militant" (not really a fan of that word) but be completely ignorant of white supremacy and what role it plays in crime in poor black neighborhoods and many of our other problems.

I don't deny white supremacy's prominent role in the state of our community. But black people, by and large, have given up. There is an appalling sense of resignation among us that both angers and depresses me. Our children, our future, is being neglected and the leadership is doing nothing to address that. So, in a lot of ways, I'm a disaffected militant, someone who recognizes that something has to be done about our community before the situation is irreparable.
I feel we have to start holding ourselves accountable.
