Cavs and Warriors have essentially traded places. In 2014-2015, Warriors core had been together 3 years and were a well oiled machine while Lebron was added to a talented core that was still learning how to play together. In 2016-2017, the Cavs core is now in it's 3rd year of playing together and playing like a well oiled machine while Durant was added to a talented core that's currently learning how to play together.

The "talented core" Lebron joined won 33 games the previous year and couldnt make the playoffs.

The "talented core" Durant joined won 73, eliminating him in the process.
