Difference between NFL and NBA is the NFL would NEVER allow a NBA player to consistently cover and criticise NFL players

It's because the NFL has plenty of strong analysts who point out the intricacies of the game. Hell just watch Kurt Warner break down some Dak videos. Shyt was eye opening in terms of how the scheme can help AND hurt a QB.

NBA has a lot of strategy, but the depth isn't to the same degree because an All-NBA player can just get hot and say "feed me." If Steph, Ant, Bron, Jalen, Jokic etc., get in their bag, there's no zone or man D that's really stopping them.

Football players assume become THEIR game is more complex, that they can come over and talk hoops. They can't.

But....the NBA gotta do a better job of showcasing the intellectual side with their analysts. They emboldened the NFL nikkas to jump into their space.

I hear you. X and Os talk doesn't happen as much on basketball shows. Also, the NBA chatter is more about hot takes than NFL chatter, so more people are willing to dive into that realm.
