Not really. Kyrie is in the position people think KD is in. Kyrie can say ‘I am only re-signing with LA’ and immediately BK would be silly to NOT trade him there.

Even with a normal player w/ 1 year left a team isn’t signing up unless it’s Kawhi level , but when you factor in its Kyrie and his shenanagins, AND that hes still yet to show he actually makes teams better, no one is offering anything of value

So it gets to a point where trading him to the only desperate team, LA, actually is the best move. Just a matter of getting a 3rd team to take on Westbrook…and given how Houston managed Wall, that’s less of an issue then people think. Take on Westbrook contract and sit him down, get the lakers ‘25 first for your troubles

Don't play stupid. They were injured in 2021 because of the quick turnaround. AD never fully recovered from his injury against the Suns and throughout that year.
