If KD turned out to be a scrub he would be Johnathan Bender
wow completely forgot about this guy
He was actually more athletic than KD imo. Nice crossover.

KD just really worked like hell to improve his handles. And was mentally ahead in terms of knowing how/where to score.

Bender just was so injury prone. Didnt have the basketball maturity. I was holding out hope was a Jermaine O'Neal type situation of being a late bloomer/stuck on the wrong team.

What could have been:wow:

Work ethic and health is so vital to these guys development.

Dude just came back from what could've been a career-ending injury and pretty much has been crowned best player in the league. Don't see how that doesn't show toughness.

I used to question KD’s mental fortitude and absolutely understood why others did…but after the series against the bux you just objectively can’t anymore

I mean, he's not wrong.

I mean like strength toughness not mental toughness. He can be beat up when teams get a nice whistle. Like a Bron, Kobe, Mike are physically stronger and tougher. They can play through that better than KD. It can take him out of his game sometimes

These arguments are always based around scoring, because MJ was gifted offensively and defensively. MJ is considered top 5 on both sides of the ball.
KD has been elite defensively and can rim protect which is a skill set that’s invaluable. Kerr knows what he can do on that side of the ball. A lot of KDs growth on that side came from Kerr

Overblown. 99% of the time that's not effecting him especially post OKC.

Thats what did KD in OKC.

Heat couldnt really stop him with the ball. However, Bron would just beat up KD off the ball. Deny him. So KD would be less aggressive and you'd just hope Russ takes a bad shot. He's gotten stronger and they really couldnt do that when you got Steph with the ball.

Warriors use to do that to KD as well. Just make him work to get the ball so he doesnt get it. Or just gives in and let Russ or someone else get the ball. Still talented enough to score 30+ regardless. Just a matter of how.

TYRONE GA!
Do you not understand what gifted means?

He's a 7 foot tall player that can do anything on the court. You can't teach that. We've never seen it before and might not ever see it again.

This. nikka is a 7 foot tall guard with an elite J and good handles. The nikka is a fukkin mutant.

Biggest flaw in his game. And now he lost a lot of weight to alleviate pressure on his Achilles so he’s even smaller than he used to be
