Because their teams weren't good enough to justify it, and they played in eras with at least 2 players overshadowing them and media had yet to show repeat MVP fatigue.

Giannis is a 2x MVP and his skillset is nowhere near diverse enough for y'all. Y'all claim Bron isn't skilled and he has 4. Claim KG doesn't have enough scoring skill and he has one. Shaq's game was 85% outweighing the NBA and he has one. Bill Russell has 5 and couldn't score. MVPs also do not inherently speak to a player's skillset.
