Durant wasn’t on vacation the last year. He tore his Achilles which is usually career-altering, but he overcame that. But in your narrative only NBA brain, you are worried about five minutes instead of the entire body of work.

I mean it ain't a physical gifts thing, like being able to dribble a basketball at an elite level or shoot isn't a gift. Dude is like 50 pounds under the avg weight for his height. The only physical gift he got was being tall, which doesn't have any innate correlation to his skillset, other than being unblockable (which would be ignoring the fact that he fades on most of his shots, which makes them doubly difficult to block)
