This has been MJ's best year since retiring. He got the standing ovation at the NBA 75 ceremony, his Hornets team looked much improved, and the players that people say are better than him either didn't make the playoffs or are on the verge of being eliminated.

He has plenty weaknesses in his game. KD does not move well off the ball. Cannot defend the post and he’s not a good rebounder. His skill set is pure scoring with the ball in his hand. That’s it. Give him the ball and he’s against a shorter defender which is the case at least 95% of the time he will score. However for him to commend a team and beat double team and making teams pay for gambling on defense he cannot do that.

it’s a reason teams focused on Curry and not KD.

it’s also a reason Harsen was the captain of the ship after 1 week and KD came back Harden was still the captain.

I don’t get why people in here cannot just admit it. Like we not getting paid. We just fans of the game.

Wow at my assessment. I deserve to be paid by ESPN :wow:

Was gonna make a thread about this but since this thread is here yall tell me this.:

What's the scouting report on Durant now?
What's the weakness to his game? He's one of the few players that seems to have gotten even better as he ages. I dont recall him ever being a top notch defender but he's not pushover either. His coaches have always hidden his slight weakness of not being able to defend players his size in the post (See how Bosh bodied him a few times down low in the Finals) so they would often assign him to defend away from the post but the NBA game dont have post up players as much anymore so that's technically irrelevant

does ad / giannis shoot or have handle anywhere NEAR kd? like anywhere near near lol... reread what i said giannis is just an athletic freak that's all he has no moves just run at the rim.. block shots.. ad is like a more athletic embid.. talent wise nothing astounding

This is the worst breakdown of a player I ever read. Just admit it, you don’t watch KD play.

Y’all gonna learn not to doubt my ball knowledge.

My assessment of KD was pinpoint accurate and now y’all get to see it too.

This is a laughably bad take

No titles are easy to win, as we saw when Golden State didn’t win in 2019. Takes like, “it was easy for them to win an nba title,” is why we can’t have real NBA discourse. Too many of you all are in your feelings.

Look at this post. Durant played 53 minutes, scored 48 points (an nba game 7 record), and your takeaway is he choked and shot an air ball. We can’t have a reasonable discussion when he put in one of the all game 7 performances.

Bringing up LeBron shows you are in your feelings more than being rational.

I don’t care if you are or not. You brought him up in a thread that had nothing to do with LeBron.

Do you watch basketball or skim through it? Giannis scored 40 points on 15-24 shooting. You don’t know what you are talking about, lol.

You are proving my point. You aren’t being rational and clearly don’t know shyt about basketball except for Skip Bayless takes. If you are ignoring Durant’s numbers because he was exhausted in overtime and didnt have the legs to carry them through, then you are trolling.

Durant wasn’t on vacation the last year. He tore his Achilles which is usually career-altering, but he overcame that. But in your narrative only NBA brain, you are worried about five minutes instead of the entire body of work.

There you go bringing up LeBron again, lol.

You aren’t a serious NBA fan. You arguably aren’t a serious basketball fan, as it seems you follow the game through social media.

You can be a bench player for th Nets. You could be part of Inside the NBA. Your posts in this thread would still exhibit a lack of NBA appreciation and understanding of basketball.

He might be the most gifted. 7 foot tall handles / moves like a guard and a jimmy? If your tall he'll go right past you. If you're short he'll shoot over you. Doesn't force nothing, and is smooth. Offensively, he might have the best game ever if you add in his height

Come defend y’all post brehs. Come at me
