Wouldn't efficiency include just not how you shot the ball, but how often you don't give the other team the ball? Melo has the ball in his hands more, yet turns over less, resulting in more efficient trips down the floor for his team. Now, jacking up weird ass shots ... no defending that lol.

And KD's rebounding rate is only .9 higher than Melo.

That gap of who is better is closer than people think. If Melo's teams go further, the perception on him changes by a mile.

KD wanted 50/40/90 & that is something he accomplished. He watches his stats during games & over the season. It's frustrating because he forces shyt when he gets close & I'm sure he holds back too.

Yeah, cause he shoots better %'s from the ft and the floor (his shot selection is better, that's undeniable).

But he also has the luxury of being able to defer to another player on his team. These things must be taken into account.

Melo deserves this scoring title as much as Durant deserved last year's when Kobe sat out the last game. And as a Kobe stan and Laker fan I was hoping he'd play just to get it.
