He was writing and directing the Sinister Six for Sony before the joint deal I'm pretty sure he's the frontrunner since he's already worked with both Sony and Marvel. IIRC he was the frontrunner according to some rumors a couple of months back. He'd be a great choice IMO and think that's who they want.

He had a meeting...obviously that doesn't mean he's got the job but I'm assuming they're going to announce that kinda soon

I still don't think he's cast yet. But obviously he could be. My guess is they're narrowing it down and they'll announce it by the end of the summer or maybe next month since cap 3 is filming already.

I'm just saying their was no foundation for rumors over which spider-man was going to be used when the press release and president of Sony films stated and confirmed which character(Peter Parker) they were using when it was originally announced . If people aren't going to believe a press release then I doubt they'll believe Kevin Feige until an actor is cast in the role

As long as the character is served right breh I'm all for it. It's the reason spider man 3 is the one movie of all of them that I don't like. Just completely threw the character to the bushes for the sake of a bad movie

Yeah or more likely De Letto's Spider-man since his is basically a modern take on the Ditko interpretation.
