You can pull up dozens of old threads on here doubting he'd ever be a credible threat in the MCU, due to all the above.

And all that was forgotten when "Infinity War" started.

So as long as Doom is good in "Doomsday", nobody is gonna give a f*ck about anything else.

most of the events before infinity didnt have anything to do with thanos. the mini incursion in the avengers and theyre apppearance in infinity war was pretty much other villains. at least i think. i didnt see any of them. for the longest time the only connection we have to thanos is nebula and gamora

They either slipped through his fingers ("Avengers", "Guardians Of The Galaxy) were left unattended ("Thor: The Dark World") or uncontested ("Dr. Strange") until he finally got one in "Infinity War"....which happened off camera, 6 years after his first appearance.

I'm not even sure what you're arguing. You can pull up social media and/or various threads here, from back then. Dude was not taken seriously as a villain until he put hands on Thor.

Smart money says introduce Doom in F4 but…this feels like a new era in Marvel and I don’t think I’m alone in this. The conventional setup doesn’t seem to be the play.

Waiting until Doomsday to reveal Doom takes fukking balls and I feel that’s exactly what they’re gonna do.

@Doobie Doo made a post on the first page about them going in reverse (big movie then set up individual ones) & that’s a pretty unique way to establish a villain. It’s different.

im not questioning the social media thing. i dont spend much time there so i was just shocked to hear that. but ny youre own admission, thats 2 actions, in the sea of movies. most of captain america, iron man, and thors actions have nothing to do with him, so how were his various underlings getting beaten? the only one that we see working for him outside the new york invasion was ronan for some reason(not some reason as in i didnt understand the plot, but in the sense that ronan would normally have his foot up a skrull ass than bargain with thanos) i mean he was pretty much the asian dude in the white suit in mob vs yakuza scene in the simpsons
