I really fukk with this so far, I can hear it's a little lighter in production, content, and delivery then some of his past efforts, 'Luca Brasi 2' for example. This is comparable, if probably not equal....but seldom do I like more then 60% of a mixtape, or album for that matter. I think this is a little smoother, cohesive, while suffering from some of the same issues as 'Luca Brasi 2', Gates tends to have too many tracks on his projects...I would cut about 6 songs from this, and have a really strong tape. I think Gates is improving everytime he comes out, and some of these tracks are exemplary, 'Not The Only One', '2 Phones', 'Pride', and a few more off one listen. The production is almost all really strong, some songs are brought down by dumb lines, saying some goofy shyt, but for the most part it's very well put together. I wore 'Know One' out last summer, but thats another great Gates track, that may one of those inching him closer to mainstream success, if he wants it. 'Really Really' is a left over track to me, not enough of the trademark emotional sound from Gates, it's a little too plain for my taste.....'La Familia' is another track I didn't like off first listen, and the one that's over 'Shameless' was pretty much a misfire too, though I love that beat, and think Gates would sound dope over Weeknd tracks, I don't want to hear dude talking about his erection for 3 minutes......Honestly, most of the projects issues would be solved with tighter editing and oversight....
