I can't speak to whether or not you're a weirdo or lack melanin but I didn't think I would like his music but turns out I did. But my response below is why I personally am "uptight" about the whole thing.
I can shyt on his opinion as a bad one and a flawed one. My first thought about him when I read the title was "he's probably saluting it cause a black cop has been put out there as the one killed".
He said the shyt in so many words man. It's a narrative shift no matter how it's spun, whenever it's said and it's honestly one steeped in the ignorance of everyone who tries it. It's only intent is to steer the conversation away from the topic of black people dying at the hands of others without the expected repercussions. Which, incidentally, the way the black lives matter expression came to be. It's specific intent was aimed toward the cops and those who were assumed to be in those authoritative positions.
And I don't know what world you live in where those who take up authority and policing and are literally called peacekeepers have any excuse for the brutalization of the people they've been charged to protect and serve. And to flat out say that we bring it upon ourselves is so deeply maddening and profoundly stupid that I honestly had to take a minute before replying to this.
