Major artists aren't releasing new music frequently enough to bail out labels, touring is becoming more expensive, zero artist development or finding new stars, and a lot of new rap is just failing. The bets labels like 300 made to sign a bunch of regressive Carti/Travis/etc clones hasn't worked.
