Kevin Love isn't being exposed as much as he's being misused. Kevin Love can pass out of the high post and do other things with the ball but David Blatt has him standing behind the 3 pt line like he's Channing Frye. Love seems to be begrudgingly accepting it so as to not rock the boat.

My prediction: Kevin Love stays in Cleveland only under the condition that Blatt gets replaced with a coach that knows how to utilize Love's skills.
Like Adelman? :skip:

Mozgov isn't Bill Russell, you can still expose Love defensively case in point

Aldridge didnt score all 38 on Love :dead:

They put Mozgov on him too and he still scored. Theres no PF in the east of aldrige's caliber to "expose" Love besides maybe milsap, and portland still lost, so idk what youre getting at

So the same thing that happened to Chris Bosh when he went to Miami happens to Kevin Love (who is still averaging a double-double with numbers pretty similar to Pau Gasol, who is crushing buildings in Chi-town) when he goes to Cleveland and suddenly he's garbage.

Okay then.

To be fair Love wasn't guarding Aldridge last night, it was mostly Tristan Thompson & Mozgov

I didn't say he had all 38 on Love, putting Mozgov on a jumpshooting big will pull him away from the paint and leave Love as the lone rim protector.

So, you mean a team that could potentially play you in a series with frontcourt players that make hiding Love impossible isn't anything to worry about?

He's shooting 42% on the season :scusthov: he just a small forward that rebounds well, calling him a Power Forward right now is an insult to the position.

Not to pile on, but his rebound rate is kinda smoke and mirrors bullshyt also like his PPG/3pt#'s last year with Minny

For players who average at least 8 boards a game, he has one of the lowest contested rebound rates.

http://stats.nba.com/tracking/#!/player/rebounding/?sort=REB_UNCONTESTED_PCT&dir=1&CF=REB*GE*8

So, he's not out there getting 50/50 balls and saving possessions/creating possessions. These are basically easy boards that he gets just by being around the paint.

So he's not like an a$$hole like Noah jumping over dudes backs and outhustling folk or like Drummond/Tristan out-athleting folks or like grandfather Duncan doing that tip-to-myself old man rebound game.

He's literally getting boards just by being on the floor, having minutes, and being a forward. Anyone else woulda gotten the same boards if they had his minutes, these aren't game changing boards he's grabbing.

The goal to frustrating him is to be as physical as he is. Millsap has mastered that. That and he's gotten worse since he's lost all the weight. Not enough blubber to dish out when positioning for boards.
