A lot of these current NBA players were adolescents and teens during the late 90's so they grew up at the height of wrestlings popularity. It's funny and kind of ironic how people bash wrestling and wrestlers because it's "fake" but a lot of pro athletes love and have a lot of respect for pro wrestlers.

Not just pro athletes but a lot of rappers too. So basically the 2 most talked about topics on this board (sports and hip-hop) have ties to pro wrestling through the athletes and rappers being fans.
