Nobody turns down the Laker job.
I don't understand why people think this is a bad move on Ollie's part. It's obvious we're in a rebuild mode, Spolstra was coaching the heats during their down times too. If we got a guy to grow with moving forward that's what's most important none of us have the expectation of a championship.

@2Quik4UHoes yoooo, just got to meet and chop it up with dude at a Leadership conference...if they don't sign this dude, I'll have to seriously question my fandom....duke had me wanting to Bill Laimbeer a muthafukka in the crowd he had me so motivated.

In all honesty, I know money talks and the glamor of Lakers can lure anyone into that spot but if Kevin Ollie wants to jumpstart his career he'll go for the Warriors job.
I hate it when young, especially young black coaches, with great potential get lured to the NBA to teams with no talent thus almost guaranteeing them to fail. Especially with fanbases like Lakers and Knicks who will have absolutely no patience with them. Granted, i think the Warriors shafted Mark Jackson by firing him so quickly just as the team was jelling. BUt If i'm Kevin Hollie i stay away from that mess in LA until they can figure out what players will be te corner stones moving forward.

You're right. It's a dream come true to most. But look at my previous post. Say He takes the job, gets no real premier talent and winds up fired after 3 years. Then what?C'mon y'all. Do your homework. Yes Uconn is his alma mater. But LA is his HOME. Crenshaw bred. He is an LA dude. Out here you grow up wanting to be a Laker. He never had that chance. But to coach the hometown team. C'mon now. That's a dream come true. If it's offered to him he is going to take it. Nobody turns down the Laker job. It's a top 5 position in all of sports. Good bad or indifferent.
