I would argue america and parts of the western world aren't. In america it is no thing for society to tell a man you better A make yourself better or B get someone on your own level. There is no safety nets or patting a man on the back to say I am so sorry its the world's fault and not yours.
I brought this up before with men who have issues with the woomen they have relationships with. None of the men in his circle will pat him on the back and say I am so sorry to hear that. That mean old bad women doesn't deserve you and you can do better. Nope the men in his circle will say shut up and stop being a punk.
