I'm a woman, and I was personally irritated with his lady callers who would try to tell him he needed to change his tone because even I understood the same truth he did - changing the tone and/or the delivery would be no more palatable to a person who hates accountability and truth anyway. I don't know if it's because I'm Gen X, but I was not bothered listening to how he talked because I remember 1) men talking like that when I was a kid and 2) having to have actual social skills to talk to people face-to-face. I think social media has got the way a lot of people interact in-person today completely jacked up, but that's another story.

Not going to front - it was clear in some of his videos at times, he was coming for ladies who weren't on that time, but they were the minority. More often than not, ladies called that show acting up. Ladies calling in drunk, smoking hookah, blowing their noses, laying in a bed with a bonnet on... I honestly don't see how he continued to do it. I wasn't surprised to hear what ultimately killed him.

I digress. In all honesty, if you think Kevin's message could have been meted out with more care or should have included the older mothers who taught the independence mindset and the fathers who encouraged education, then by all means, heed the call. I sincerely mean it, as this is one part of the puzzle I have yet to see in content).

Mr. Samuels could not do it all; who is to say he might not have eventually evolved to include that kind of content? We will never know. The important fact is he opened up the conversation and those who want answers to the question you posed ("How do we move forward?") have the opportunity to keep it going and flourishing.

I wasn’t personally offended because I too, grew up around men and they talked to me the way KS did.
I was also raised to be a lady so I don’t purposely agitate people (men) or present myself in a bad light.

That being said, what I think needed to be acknowledged was the type of (Black) woman who was drawn to such a platform.

The classy, educated, reserved women with something to lose were smart enough to not plaster their faces on YT for the world to see.
The ghetto chicks and birds who wanted a chance to shine or be seen seemed to be the main ones calling in.

However- he did start the conversation. I will always give him credit for that.

I thought she disappeared, but it looks like she’s still making vids.

From what I remember, he thought that if high value men cheat, the wife must be ok with it. I really get his point that with weatlh and the lifestyle that comes with it, women have to be careful and let go of the naivety that everything will be perfect in the relationship. But I don't know, I find it really blatlantly disrespectful to cheat on your wife like that especially if you have children together. Just one of my personnal value.

Dead bedroom issues are another story though...
