This. I'm not saying women never approach - they do. Some women know what they want and go for it. I've had three girlfriends my entire life and each approached me. But the vast majority of women don't approach. They either wait to be approached, or they wait for a tenuous connection and go from there.
Going back to the video clip...if using dating apps is feminine because you're asking for someone to approve of you, why wouldn't a man asking a woman out in real life also be feminine since you are still asking for someone to approve of you? That's my point about the nonsensical nature of the "high value man" dynamic and why it's largely just a fantasy that keeps men single and upset (in order to continue consuming the #content). HOW you pursue women has nothing to do with masculinity. Whether you use online dating (like the majority of people in our age bracket) or do something else...you're simply trying to go on dates and pursue a relationship, at the end of the day. Which ultimately is a traditionally "masculine" thing, given that men typically do want a family and children.
