This track is on the radio at least once every hour.

:wow:

It's already a local hit.

This may be a hit, certainly, but it won't be in my rotation....Very bland, lyrics, uninspired production, shallow and tired content and message....doesn't deserve any recognition.

I think you're being too tough. I think the lyrics are fairly clever and witty, and the song overall is very well written. I think the hook is fun and catchy. I agree with you as far as adding it to the rotation. It's not something I would put on or request, but I wouldn't go ass far ti say it doesn't deserve recognition. It's not that easy to make a catchy pop rap song.

People often say I am the most critical person they have met....so it's entirely possible I am being too harsh....yet, aren't we all tired of the listless, and draining escapades of globe trotting male divas and their many conquests, real or imagined? Don't we deserve better then a chord from a DJ Mustard beat in 2014 and half a white washed dancehall ala 'One Dance'? The constant sexual innunedos (Can in Kansas ,Ass like Africa) and cutting edge metaphors about 'Regina In Arizona or high grade in Cali? The mindblowing creativity of lines about 'your man doesn't know english what he gon say'? American ignorance and imperialism in C level pop songs no less....This is trash for idiots dazed from a few drinks to wash the pain away of a pointless existence on a Friday night.

I feel exactly where you're coming from. But isn't that what pop songs are? Simple, catchy, fun, and not too thought provoking. And yeah, this is exactly the type of song you play when your drinking while out with the friends or at a party. We need songs like this, just as we need the more serious songs about introspection, social issues, relatable problems and what not. I think the issue today is balance. Today it seems that most of the commercial songs, or songs that get airplay lack in substance, whereas back in the day you might hear Lil John followed by Common on the radio.

I am not going to drag this in the ground, but there are DOPE songs that are pop, with nuance and meaning, or even just marginally more creative and layered....Rihanna's wailing on 'Work', (you never text me in a crisis.....you never touch me in the right place) has more emotion and feeling then this slog through cliches and dull production.

Would you be more impressed if the kid wrote the lyrics, made the beat (without sampling) and played instruments on the track?
