The thing is crabs was a top 10 pick.
This goes for most fan bases but generally fans expect first round picks to be pro bowlers and mvp types. Anything less than that theyre a bust or an under achiever in fans eyes.
But realistically as long as hes a good player who cares? Crabtree is a great #2/3 WR but he isn't a #1 which is what niner fans wanted.
The first round is full of player who put in solid years as role players for different teams.
Its easy and silly to play the hindsight we should have drafted so and so game but nobody really ever knows for certain what players will become stars,so much of it is personal drive AND the team/coaching management they fall into. Theirs probably countless players that would have flourished under another team but failed at 1 because it wasnt the right fit and they were never given another chance. We see it with black qbs all the time.
Crabtrees the same player he was in san fran,he just doesnt have the same expectations weighing him down and he can just be who he is.
Hell I wanted jets to go after him but marshall/decker is working out mighty fine
