1. Flip Jimmy before the draft
2. Draft another CB or pick one up in FA
3. Extend Deebo

I think we can wait another year for Bosa. He has the fifth year option after next season, so that gives the team some flexibility.

I don't think Kyle wants to cut Jimmy so it's gonna be on Lynch to get a good offer for a trade. If not I can picture Jimmy staying for his last year of his deal :dead:

Anyways, my main questions going into the offseason are:

-What cornerbacks could be a legit option for free agency?
-How many Dline men do we keep/how many new Dline men are we willing to bring?
-How careful do we have to be about our cap considering the Deebo and Bosa contracts are coming up next season? @B90X
-Can we finally get rid of Dee Ford's contract?!?
-Is Mostert willing to get a team friendly contract?
-We gotta go with best player available at the draft, no? Pass rusher or ofensive lineman comes to mind as priorities though.

Really our main priority is upgrading at Corner, Safety and upgrading at the guard positions. I think we may need to let Tomlinson walk though he may come back for cheap. I would like us to draft a better guard since I don't trust Aaron Banks to get better. I think linebacker is a bigger priority than pass rusher as all of our LBs are somewhat injury prone and there is a chance we could lose Al Shair

Stephon Gilmore is the big name I see.

Keep everyone but DJ Jones, replace his production with Kinlaw

Dumping Jimmy and Dee should net us about $27M, good shape for Deebo and Bosa extensions.
-Is Mostert willing to get a team friendly contract?
I don't see how isn't willing to. His open market value is at all time low.

As long as it's not another fukking DL :sadcam:

I doubt this happens. They should be able to get a second at least for Jimmy. There's too many QB needy teams out there. This is on Lynch to get the best deal and move on.

-What cornerbacks could be a legit option for free agency?
Depends on what we wanna pay. Gilmore is probably the top FA corner on the market. There's JC Jackson from NE, but they'll probably resign him. A bunch of older guys like Joe Harden and Chris Harris. I could see the Niners resigning Verrett just cause he'll be cheap and knows the system.

-How many Dline men do we keep/how many new Dline men are we willing to bring?
We kept 10 DL/DE on the roster. We'll probably do the same next year. The Niners free agents on the D-Line are:
Maurice Hurst
DJ Jones
Arden Key
Jordan Willis
Kentavius Street
Kevin Givens(ERFA)

Jones is probably gone. He's earned his money. We can probably bring back Key, Willis, and Street. Givens will be back. Hurst is probably gone.

-How careful do we have to be about our cap considering the Deebo and Bosa contracts are coming up next season? @B90X
The Niners are expected to have $12.78 million in cap space. If they trade Jimmy after 6/1 then they'll gain another $25 million in cap space. If they trade him before 6/1 then they'll gain $23.6 million in cap space.
Deebo is the priority over Bosa. The Niners have the 5th year option for Bosa so they can get his contract done next off-season or the one after that.

-Can we finally get rid of Dee Ford's contract?!?
He'll be a post 6/1 cut. It'll save the Niners $7 million in cap space.

-Is Mostert willing to get a team friendly contract?
I don't think he has a choice of he wants to be here. The Niners aren't going to give him a bunch of money. He's an over 30 injury prone RB.

-We gotta go with best player available at the draft, no? Pass rusher or ofensive lineman comes to mind as priorities though.

Depends on what we do in FA. We might need another DE. Definitely need another corner. Safety as well. Depending on what happens with Azeez, we'll need another LB, too.
Oh, and we need to figure out the Aaron Banks situation as well... And quickly.

Jimmy has to go. That is the bottom line, grab a free agent cb and draft one and a safety for added depth. Improve the right side of the offensive line and resign Tomlikson. Grab another pass rusher d line men in the later rounds of the draft.

get Kyle to grow some balls so he starts coaching to win instead of coaching not to lose.
