Now imagine being a store clerk with multiple customers wearing hoods in there store. Ya'll ain't been on that other side. Which is fine like someone said if they gonna rob the store or shoot shyt up(cashier) it doesn't matter anyway. But don't act like its cool to have a store full of people wearing hoods.(why you have your hood over your head in a store)
Some ppl forget to remove their hoody. I'm not saying it's not right to be paranoid, but there have been instances of black ppl being killed off the paranoia of others. Sometimes ppl forget to remove their hoodies. Not out of malice.

DMV
Bank which I use (Pacific Marine Credit Union) makes you take hoods, and hats off.

Again, if she said, "sir, we ask you to please remove your hood per our store policy"

vs

If she yelled out, "hey, take that hood off when you're in this store"

Depends on how she said it
I feel you on this but I think it’s petty that this is even being talked about. I personally would take exception to w cac making demands of me... but I haven’t walked into a convenience store with my hood on since like HS. And Yeah she’s probably a racist cac but there’s more serious shyt happening that we should be talking about.

Take off your hood and leave your bag up front if you have a bag...in what world is this shyt out of the ordinary? Hell, people should do that shyt just out of respect for a business. The backwards ass mentality we have, I swear to god...

It's cold asf outside in lots of parts of the world though.. and they already did a study proving that if a white woman wore a hoodie nobody would say shyt.

I can’t speak for NYC but I can speak for Philly and I can speak for all over N.C., you’re not wearing your hood inside most places of business without being asked to take it off- and no, the clerk isn’t going to politely wait for you to reach the counter to tell you. Seriously think you dudes are trolling just to be contrarians. Nobody could’ve grown up that sheltered to have never seen these signs on the door before you even enter, let alone actually go inside hooded up and expect it to not be a problem.

But I tell ya what, stop in Durham NC and go to any gas station with your hood on and see who quickly Mohammed ups the blicky in your face. It’s so widely known that you don’t walk into a store concealing your identity like that, that you’re almost liable to get yourself shot by doing it.
It's really racially profiling for minorities.

They don't ask you to take your hat off now do they?

And I've seen plenty of people sporting hoodies on during the winter and fall inside stores.

You think anyone gonna tell you to take your hoodie off in a big store like walmart?

I’ve never been told to remove my hood ever. I would leave the store

this. I’m a grown ass man. Why the fukk would I let someone tell me to remove anything like I’m in pre-school. I’d take all of those goods I was about to purchase and drop that shyt on the floor and walk out.

Spend the $ elsewhere at a place like Target where they could care less.

spending some time in the city, i see what you saying.. but, it really depends on the store down here(NC).. store i hit up downtown owned by a older cat, they have a sign at the door.. matter of fact, they want you to keep your backpack by the front door too..

i personally dont trip, being im usually in & out.. but, can also understand how someone from out of town would think its wild..
Nahh fukk that shyt. The only time I've ever had to leave my backpack at the front of a store is the one time I went to the book store at community college.

First time I've ever heard of some shyt like that. Definitely wasn't fukking with it and I bet they'd give you a hard ass time if your shyt got stolen and you wanted to hold them accountable.

They should just have a rule that backpacks aren't allowed (not at a college bookstore of course).

i'm in the bay and thought this was common everywhere else but guess not. not a big deal at all really. my friend worked at a corner store when he was younger and had all types of thieves come through. the no hoodie policy is for security purposes and was for every race.

no backpacks in a store is common too. the classic backpack in a store trick is one way boosters get their products.

its one of the oldest Black-owned stores in the city.. plus, theres someone at the door watching not only your bag(s).. but, the safety of the store & customers.. :unimpressed:

again.. i personally dont have an issue with it, being im usually in & out.. you dont have to go/shop there.. nor, do you go/shop there.. no need for the fake outrage.. i dont even know why its an issue to you to begin with..
