What happened? I saw Cudi in concert at Merriweather a few months after his second album dropped. By far my favorite concert memory of all time.Cudi was the lone disappointment when I went to see OutKast at Centennial last year. Still ain't forgave him for that

Brodie came out and spent half the time humming and shyt, playin the songs nobody wanted to really hear
Gambino came out before him and had a good set with great energy, then Cudder came thru and killed the momentum. Luckily DJ spent the next hour playin classic cuts to get everybody hype again or we all woulda been asleep by the time Kast came out

Hip-hop artists need to stop assuming their talent just immediately translates across to different genres (or artistic mediums), Kanye was guilty of this too. The album wasn't just trash cause he was trying to steer so far away from hip-hop, going so far as to claim it's not a hip-hop album at all, but it was an awful imitation of what it was trying to be in the first place. It wasn't just a trash hip-hop album, it was a trash "alternative rock" album as well.
