My new album is entitled "indicud", it will be my version of The Chronic 2001, some songs ill produce, others ill feat &/or play songwriter
He tweeted these words...supposedly its a double disc LP and claims its his best work...is anyone still checking for dude? MOTM 1 & 2 are personal classics and WZRD was trash...therefore I have no expectations for this album.

:beli: he didn't compare it to Chronic 2001. He said its his version...in the sence of he will produce some, write some, and sing and rap on some. It wont be a Kid CuDi album more of a collaborative project in which he will wear many hats much like Dre did on his Chronic albums.

CuDi is one of my favorite artist. I will definetly be checking for this even though I wasn't a fan of WZRD.

Nah, man. Love Cudi's 1st two LPs, but he has fallen off big time lately. I think he's a slave to his own creativity and versatility, and he's trying to do way too much.

Pretty soon he will lose his own fanbase because even they won't know what it is they can expect from him.

He needs to stick to what made him successful. Dont get me wrong.....growth is important for an artist that is trying to stick around, but it requires some time. WZRD sounded forced....and what I mean is that he should have chilled, sat in some sessions with guys like Jim Jonson, learned the ropes and tried experimenting down the road.

somewhere between a pair of D cup tiddies
the guy is a hook guy, that's it.
tell the boy to get some ghostwriters, he single handedly almost ruined "christian dior denim flow" :trash:
nothing about him as a rapper is appealing, anybody who disagrees are probably under the age of 25, max.
and if you're over 25  this cat, then i feel sorry for your friends.
and their parents. but fukk yours :jawalrus:

Only read the first post, but the biggest problem with my generation (I say my generation cause even tho I grew up on 90's hip hop I'm the same age as these artists) is that we have no identity. Call it a product or Reagan or whatever, but we have no sense of self. So regardless of whatever intrinsic artistic talent we might have, we're cool with painting withing the lines that our predecessors put in place. That's why a dude like Schoolboy Q (one of my current faves) will be quoting WTT on his album a couple months after release. Why Cudi thinks saying my version of The Chronic 2001 is a good thing. We're not concerned with making the next great American anything, but with just getting shine for improving on a wheel that's been working rolling for decades.

I'm drunk, believe it or not, so excuse me if any of that didn't make sense.
