Sad. This looks awfully similar to the everyday ocurrances of the crackhead white bytch that lives across the street from me. This mess has 5 children yet she stays high or drunk dayin and dayout. She also throws parties where her and her friends get drunk and fight each other till the wee morning. The other day I woke up in the morning (it was 4 oclock to be exact) with her 2 year old in the middle of her and her friends (who were all drunk) saying 'mommy, mommy'. I swear I hate white people. I cannot wait for the day when her kids get taken away by child services.

I feel sorry for the kid but I didn't think it was appropriate for him to hit her like that. His moms is suffering just as much as he is honestly. Addiction is a disease not a moral failing but alot of people aren't taught exactly why. Any one of us can succumb to addiction, because for most of us will power alone doesn't overwrite the reward circuitry in the brain. Hopefully they all get the help they need.

Yes, if you were an adult. You expect a 9 year old to rationalize that? I completely understand addictions are a disease and I'ts not even demonizing her but people with addictions also have to want to change and the rock bottom of hearing the pain of your child and those screams doesn't make you want to change, shes most likely already succumbed to the disease and its too late. This is as much of a reality check you could ask for.
