Nobody talks about these dudes unless house party is on. I never here there music played AT ALL on the radio during old school blocks or holidays, in fact I cant even name an album of there's nor have I heard one. These guys had 4 movies a cartoon and a memorable dance routine. Do any of you listen or have any of you listened to there music? Is it that terrible is that why they aren't mentioned?

KnP was in a lot of ways the forerunners to the superficial era we've experienced in hip hop the last 13 or so years. The disposable, here today/gone today, artist owes a lot to knp who were experts in making meaningless club/dance songs that charted and soon were forgotten.

Their legacy is their business acumen, and their fly ass dance. Period. People respect their grind, and for being a key building block in turning hip hop into a global phenomenon, but as far as their music, sht was trash. Only people bigging up knp purely for their music, are serious nostalgia drug addicts.

Above at least bout half of the Wu-Tang Clan, off the strength of the first two House Party movies and Class Act alone

kid and play are right on bernie mac's happy rap shelf

i heard that they have beef with each other, i reckon that has tarnished the legacy and their visibility since they can't do shows solo

They had some cool party joints. Even before the House Party movies came out, songs like "Last Night", "Gettin Funky", "2Hype" were ringing off
