All on my dad side

My cousins started calling their mother by her first name (sometimes) when they got into their teens

My cousin (girl) calls her mother by her first name since she didnt raise her.

I see the youngest cousins call my aunt (their grandmother) by her nickname sometimes.

I personally cant/wont do it. I cant even jokingly call my mother by her first or her nickname.

I couldn't care less if a kid calls me by my first name or not. Don't care if anyone calls me by my first name actually as long as you use my full/actual name.

I will. However address you how you want to be addressed. Except pet names, if I didn't know you as a baby I will call you by your full name. I will only use a pet name for more common short cuts like Bill for William. But if you introduce yourself as William I can never call you bill.

I hate being called pet names by anyone who didn't know me as a baby lol.

There's nothing wrong with kids callin adults by their 1st name

I'll straight up ignore a kid who calls me Daisy. Bad enough these kids think that we're equals nowadays. fukk outta here. When I moved from the classroom to the (public) library, I went from Ms. Fitzroy to Ms. Daisy. That's as informal as it gets. shyt, my mentors are still Mr. and Mrs., and I'm in my 30s.

Our fam is pretty damn formal. I know the youngest kids called my great-grandmother Sister Lottie b/c they were youngest enough to be her child. My lil cuzzos call me Cousin Daisy and they always will, just as I call my mother's contemporaries Cousin so-and-so. My mother's mother is Gamma (don't ask) unless I'm irritated; then it's Grandmother. My father's mother, however, has always been Grandmother Catherine.
